Mr. Richard Okyer-Fosu, Director General of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has engaged the Institute of ICT Professionals Ghana, a key stakeholder group in the IT industry who would like to work with the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) to ensure effective collaboration between the parties.
The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) is a public service institution established by Act 771 in 2008 as the ICT policy implementing arm of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Ghana.
At the meeting, they discussed the NITA LI, Digital Economy Policy Strategy and Action Plan, which is to replace ICT4AD. They further discussed the registration of ICT professionals and certification.
Training and Development of ICT professionals, particularly those in the public sector, was one of the pressing issues that were on the table for discussion.
