F5 and Equinix have announced an expanded partnership to streamline secure, AI-ready infrastructure for enterprises, enabling seamless global scaling of digital applications without the burden of physical hardware.
The collaboration integrates F5’s Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) with Equinix’s Network Edge and Equinix Fabric, aiming to simplify deployment and enhance security for modern applications and AI workloads in hybrid multicloud environments.
The enhanced solution allows businesses to rapidly deploy and secure applications, reducing infrastructure costs and management complexity.
F5’s Distributed Cloud Customer Edge, a key ADSP component, is now available as a virtual network function on Equinix’s Network Edge, enabling near-instant provisioning of app delivery and security services across Equinix’s global network of over 200 data centers, which handle 96% of global internet traffic.

“AI is driving unprecedented infrastructure demands, particularly at the edge, where latency and security are critical,” said John Maddison, F5’s chief product and corporate marketing officer. “Our partnership with Equinix offers a flexible, high-performance solution to deploy and connect applications globally, supporting AI-driven use cases with ease.”
Key benefits include support for high-speed, secure AI workloads like inference and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), global deployment without hardware, increased agility, and unified management for compliance with data sovereignty regulations. Equinix’s global interconnection platform provides low-latency connections to major cloud providers, enhancing performance.
“Legacy infrastructure can hinder AI adoption and increase risks,” said Maryam Zand, Equinix’s vice president of partnerships and ecosystem development. “This solution empowers businesses to innovate faster, secure operations, and maintain a competitive edge.”
