ESET, a global leader in cybersecurity, is pleased to announce that its advanced security product, ESET Internet Security, has been honored with the prestigious Advanced+ awards in the recent Malware Protection Test and Performance Test conducted by AV-Comparatives. This recognition signifies ESET’s exceptional performance and its unwavering dedication to protecting users against malware threats.
The Malware Protection Test assessed multiple products from 16 vendors, including ESET Internet Security, by subjecting them to malicious file executions on the system. The test covered various vectors such as network drives, USBs and scenarios where malware was present on the disk. The comprehensive test set comprised 10,015 recent and prevalent malware samples, representing real-world threats faced by users. ESET Internet Security achieved an outstanding 99.9% malware protection rate.

Additionally, the test report included a false alarm test, which evaluated the accuracy of file detection capabilities of antivirus products. ESET Internet Security demonstrated flawless performance with zero false alarms, reinforcing its reliability and showcasing its ability to effectively identify legitimate files and potential malware threats. In the Performance Test, both ESET’s “Antivirus” and “Internet Security” consumer products underwent rigorous testing alongside other security products from 16 vendors. The test measured the impact on system performance that a security product has compared to its counterparts.
