Embu Stadium, which is set to host the Madaraka Day celebrations, is undergoing renovations using precast technology, according to the contractor in charge of the project. Sagar Saghani, the contractor, revealed that the stadium will be the second in Kenya to use precast technology, following Kirigiti Stadium in Kiambu County. Additionally, Kenya is the first country in East Africa to apply the technology in stadium construction.
The stadium will have a 1,800 capacity for VIP guests and a total seating capacity of 8,000. The contractor assured that he will meet the government’s set timelines for completion and will hand over the stadium to the government and Embu County Government on May 20.

Saghani, who also constructed Kirigiti Stadium, stated that the Embu Stadium will have six gates for the public and one VIP gate. He further promised to address the drainage system in the stadium that Embu residents had previously complained about.
