CSquared, a leading provider of open-access fibre infrastructure, partnered with Telecel Liberia has launched a city-wide Wi-Fi network in Ganta, Liberia, to provide businesses and individuals with fast internet, and foster economic growth and development in the region.
In a LinkedIn post CSquared stated that the city-wide Wi-Fi network, powered by CSquared’s open-access fibre backbone, will ensure affordable and reliable broadband connectivity for the Ganta’s residents.
In the post, the company noted that the Wi-Fi “will enable enterprises and individuals to access affordable and reliable broadband connectivity, ensuring internet for all,” adding that it looked “forward to improved livelihoods powered by the Ganta City Wi-Fi.”
In addition to the city-wide Wi-Fi network, CSquared also commissioned a new reading and digital resource centre at John Wesley Pearson High School in Ganta last week. Developed in partnership with Keep Liberia and Telecel Liberia, this resource centre is equipped with CSquared’s open-access fibre infrastructure, providing over 1,500 students with access to reading materials and digital literacy resources.
This partnership shows CSquared’s commitment to nurturing digital skills among students and Liberia’s wider community. By providing access to high-speed internet and digital resources, CSquared aims to empower individuals and ensure that no one is left behind in the journey towards a digitally connected Liberia.
CSquared’s efforts to shape the future of a digital Liberia highlight the transformative power of technology in driving socio-economic development and empowering communities. Through partnerships and initiatives like the city-wide Wi-Fi network and the reading and digital resource centre, CSquared is paving the way for a more connected and prosperous future for Liberia.
