Cassava Technologies has entered into a strategic partnership with Zindi, a global platform for artificial intelligence (AI) talent, to accelerate AI development and digital transformation across Africa.
The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see them collaborate on providing AI solutions and Graphics Processing Units-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) across the continent.
The partnership aims to combine Cassava’s data centre GPU capabilities with Zindi’s AI innovation platform to strengthen Africa’s AI ecosystem. According to both parties, the collaboration will unlock new opportunities for developers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs, and enable the development of AI solutions tailored to address local challenges.
“This partnership is a key step towards advancing digital transformation in Africa,” said Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies. “For Africa’s AI ecosystem to grow and thrive, it is essential to provide platforms and resources for the continent’s developers and start-ups. Cassava is proud to support local stakeholders as they develop digital solutions to some of Africa’s most pressing problems.”
Cassava stated that the availability of GPUaaS will offer African AI developers the high-performance computing resources needed to build and scale data-driven solutions, while also supporting local innovation and entrepreneurship.
