The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) CEO, Eng. Suliman Almazroua, along with delegations from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, the Transport General Authority and Monsha’at (Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises), attended the inauguration of Amazon’s new Fulfillment Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ceremony was followed by a facility tour guided by Abdo Chlala, Amazon Saudi Arabia’s Country Manager, Prashant Saran, Director of Operations for Amazon Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Dr. Hatem Samman, Public Policy Lead for Amazon Saudi Arabia.

Eng. Suliman Almazroua praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts in developing top-notch infrastructure and business-friendly policies, positioning the country as an attractive investment destination. The expansion of Amazon in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the logistics sector, aligns with the goals of NIDLP and brings advanced ecommerce operations to the country. The new Fulfillment Center in Riyadh, with its improved global connectivity and access to new markets, aims to support local startups and entrepreneurs by leveraging the Kingdom’s resources.
With Saudi Arabia’s growing ecommerce market and digital economy, the new Fulfillment Center will significantly increase Amazon’s storage capacity. Spanning 390,000 square feet across five floors, the facility is equivalent to the size of five football fields and can accommodate over 9 million products.
