The African School of Economics (ASE) has partnered with universities in Africa and Finland to launch the continent’s first 5G Mokki Tech Space. The project aims to connect immersive digital learning and remote work environments using fifth-generation mobile communication technology. In addition to its existing campuses in Benin and Ivory Coast, the ASE plans to establish modular tech spaces in remote areas to promote access to high-technology education, digital entrepreneurship and remote job creation for local communities.

The ASE’s 5G Mokki Tech Space initiative marks a significant step forward in advancing technology access and education in Africa. With the implementation of 5G networks, students and workers can benefit from faster and more reliable connections, allowing for remote work, distance learning and other opportunities that were previously impossible. The ASE’s goal is to promote economic growth and technological advancement in Africa, particularly in remote areas that have traditionally been excluded from such opportunities.
