Accenture has announced the establishment of a cross-company centre of excellence (CoE) for generative AI and large language model (LLM), which will involve 1,600 employees from within the company. The CoE will be tasked with creating generative AI solutions for clients. A report by Accenture published last week predicted that almost 40% of all working hours could be affected by AI models like OpenAI’s GPT-4 within the next three to five years. The survey also found that 51% of IT and tech-related teams’ working hours were spent on “language tasks”. The report predicted that 42% of surveyed companies would make “large investments” in ChatGPT deployments this year.
