Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, has announced plans to expand its manufacturing and testing operations across Ireland and the North West, driven by rising worldwide demand for solutions that support artificial intelligence, colocation and hyperscale data centres.
The company will apply to Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square metres of space at its Letterkenny facility. The expansion is expected to create up to 300 new jobs in the region.
The move builds on Vertiv’s established presence in Ireland and the North West, which already includes operations in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Campsie (Derry), a Central Procurement Office in Limerick, and a sales and service office in Dublin. The company is actively recruiting across these sites to support ongoing organic growth.
Since the beginning of 2026, Vertiv has already onboarded more than 500 employees at its local facilities and continues to hire for a growing number of open positions. New roles will span engineering and operational functions, helping to increase manufacturing capacity and strengthen the company’s expertise in power, cooling, and industrialised infrastructure solutions that enable faster, more efficient deployment of AI and data centre projects worldwide.

The proposed project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
