Tolaram, one of Nigeria’s leading multinational conglomerates, has promoted Kavinkumar Murukanathan to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Murukanathan, a seasoned technology and operations leader with nearly 15 years of experience within the group, will now oversee the company’s entire enterprise technology landscape. His mandate includes driving digital transformation, ERP systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, enterprise architecture, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

In his new role, he is expected to work closely with business leaders across the group to strengthen operational excellence, enhance decision-making capabilities, and build future-ready platforms that support sustainable long-term growth.

Expressing his excitement about the promotion, Murukanathan said: “I’m happy to share that I have been promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Tolaram!”

Before he was appointed CTO, Murukanathan served as Head of IT and Digital Transformation at Tolaram from February 2024 to May 2026, where he spearheaded digital initiatives aimed at driving innovation and operational efficiency.

His career within the group also includes key leadership positions such as Head of Manufacturing for Noodles and Seasoning (2022–2024), where he simultaneously led Operational Excellence (Six Sigma) and digitalization efforts; General Manager of Flexible Packaging (2019–2022); and Factory Manager of a fully automated noodle manufacturing plant (2018–2019).

Earlier in his journey, Murukanathan played instrumental roles in Six Sigma and Operational Excellence programmes, mentoring teams and successfully executing Green and Black Belt projects across manufacturing and packaging operations.

With deep expertise spanning manufacturing operations, process improvement, digital strategy, and enterprise technology, his elevation to CTO underscores Tolaram’s commitment to leveraging technology as a core driver of business transformation and competitive advantage in the Nigerian and regional markets.
