The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) has recently entered into a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Egypt. The objective of this collaboration is to initiate the Project for Supporting E-Government and Innovation in Public Administration, which falls under the supervision and coordination of the Ministry of International Cooperation.

According to a press release by the German Agency for International Cooperation, the project aims to lay the foundation for an innovative digital public administration in Egypt, with a strong focus on fulfilling the needs of its citizens.

To achieve this goal, the project follows a multifaceted approach that encompasses various aspects of digital inclusion and comprehensive administrative reforms. This includes strategic coordination and the development of digitization-related policies, enhancing human resource management by establishing an integrated digital employee structure, optimizing workflows and standardizing operations to enhance the efficiency of digital public services. Additionally, the project aims to establish institutional foundations for managing innovation in the public sector and government technology.
