Atlassian, the provider of collaboration software such as Jira and Confluence, has integrated generative artificial intelligence (AI) into its collaboration software suite. Atlassian Intelligence, which was announced at the company’s annual user conference in Las Vegas, is designed to improve collaboration and efficiency in IT teams. The new tools, integrated with Confluence, will use generative AI technology from OpenAI to summarise decisions and action items from meeting minutes, draft tweets based on product specifications documented in Confluence and define test plans for product updates in Jira Software.

According to Atlassian’s official blog post, the virtual agent in Jira Service Management can answer specific questions about company policies and guidelines, suggest responses and provide relevant articles and pages from Confluence to resolve requests. The tool will enable IT teams to work more effectively and collaborate more easily.
