WinGD, a marine engine technology developer based in Switzerland, has been awarded the “Digital Solutions Provider of the year” award at the Shiptek International Awards 2023 in Dubai for its WinGD Integrated Digital Expert (WiDE). WiDE is a comprehensive system that provides shipowners and operators with full awareness of their ships’ operating conditions.
WinGD has been at the forefront of developing smart shipping solutions to decarbonise the industry in line with the IMO’s provisions. The company has devised several solutions and systems to digitalise shipping, including iCER (Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling) and Shipdex. WiDE aims to drive the shipping industry towards net-zero emissions while ensuring transparency and safety, increasing efficiency and reliability.
