Tech Mahindra, an Indian multinational technology company, has formed a strategic partnership with YIT Corporation, a Finnish construction and development firm, to offer a significant portion of YIT’s information technology services. The partnership will consolidate YIT’s current services to a single dedicated supplier and Tech Mahindra will provide support for automated IT services as well. The deal will help Tech Mahindra strengthen its position in the Europe and Nordic markets, in which it has already invested by establishing an innovation hub in Helsinki.

The innovation hub in Helsinki will leverage Tech Mahindra’s research and development arm, Makers Lab and collaborate with universities and start-ups to provide solutions to YIT Corporation and other customers. The partnership will enable YIT Corporation to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving digital landscape, according to Esa Nykänen, Chief Information Officer of YIT.

Under the partnership, Tech Mahindra will modernize YIT’s IT architecture and system landscape, as well as run its end-to-end IT operations with a focus on customer centricity. About 20 YIT employees will also be transferred to Tech Mahindra on May 1, 2023, as part of the partnership.
