Orange Jordan has announced its support for a social innovation space for young people in Aqaba, Jordan, through a partnership with the Jordan River Foundation. The initiative is part of Orange Jordan’s role as a responsible digital leader and seeks to empower 1,500 young men and women in the region through digital innovation skills and active citizenship.

The space will offer free digital resources, including tools for exploring new technologies in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM), under Orange FabLab. The aim is to encourage collective and interactive work and active learning and to stimulate youth to find innovative solutions to their socioeconomic challenges. The tools will include football robots, a hologram fan and an interactive BEAM floor.

Thierry Marigny, CEO of Orange Jordan, stressed the importance of the partnership in supporting the Jordan River Foundation and empowering young people by providing them with the digital skills, tools and space to turn their ideas into innovative entrepreneurial models. Marigny added that the sponsorship is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to increase participation in Orange’s free digital programs across the kingdom and to promote innovation, prepare youth for the job market and enhance their entrepreneurial and civic participation skills.
