Global technology firm Zoho has announced plans to establish a data centre in the United Kingdom by the second quarter of 2026, reinforcing its commitment to data sovereignty and privacy compliance for its growing UK customer base.
The new facility aims to offer clients complete in-country data hosting, meeting increasing demand for secure and locally regulated infrastructure, particularly among organisations in sensitive or regulated industries.
The move comes on the heels of Zoho’s recent office opening in Milton Keynes, designed to strengthen its UK operations and deepen customer connections.
The office will also drive recruitment and nurture local talent amid Zoho’s reported 43% business growth and a threefold increase in its UK workforce over the past two years.
“Our expansion in the UK mirrors both the strength of this market and the rising need for technology that is regionally relevant yet globally scalable,” said Sachin Agrawal, Managing Director of Zoho UK.
“The establishment of our UK data centre will enhance our ability to support local enterprises with secure infrastructure and a stronger on-the-ground presence.”
The Milton Keynes office inauguration was attended by Mayor James Lancaster, members of the local business community, and innovation leaders. Lancaster praised the move as a “significant milestone” for the city, noting that Zoho’s presence will bring new opportunities for skills development and economic growth.
Milton Keynes is emerging as one of the UK’s most vibrant digital and technology hubs, home to over 2,400 tech companies generating approximately £3.4 billion annually, according to Milton Keynes City Council. Situated between Oxford and Cambridge, the city lies within the UK government’s Growth Corridor, making it an ideal location for innovation-focused businesses.

“As we mark three decades of Zoho’s global journey, our focus remains on empowering local businesses with secure and scalable technology,” Agrawal added. “Milton Keynes offers the right environment for continued growth, collaboration, and contribution to the UK’s tech economy.”
