The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, hosted Jeff Bullwinkel, Microsoft’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Corporate, External & Legal Affairs (EMEA), at Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The high-level meeting aimed to deepen the long-standing partnership between NITDA and Microsoft, aligning with Nigeria’s ambitious digital transformation agenda.
The visit underscored Microsoft’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s economic growth and digital empowerment, offering insights into the evolving collaboration between the tech giant and the Nigerian government. Bullwinkel was joined by Ola Williams, Microsoft’s General Manager for Nigeria and Ghana, and Nonye Ujam, Director for Government Affairs.

Inuwa emphasized the critical role of technology in achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s eight priority areas for national development. “A stronger partnership with Microsoft is essential to fast-tracking Nigeria’s prosperity and ensuring digital inclusion for all,” he stated, highlighting the agency’s dedication to advancing the President’s vision through strategic collaborations.
The discussions focused on leveraging Microsoft’s expertise to drive innovation, enhance digital infrastructure, and promote inclusive growth across Nigeria. Both parties expressed optimism about the potential for their continued partnership to transform Nigeria into a digitally empowered nation.
