At the GITEX Global tech trade show in Dubai, Morocco has announced a strategic partnership to accelerate its digital transformation, aligning with the country’s Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.
The collaboration, formed between Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform and the UAE-based AI71, was finalized on the sidelines of the event.
AI71, launched in 2023 by Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), specializes in AI solutions driven by the Technology Innovation Institute’s Falcon AI models. The partnership aims to explore implementing AI-powered solutions to enhance access to government services and create a more user-friendly experience for Moroccan citizens.
Regarding the partnership, Reda Nidhakou, acting CEO of VentureOne, AI71’s parent company, expressed excitement over contributing to Morocco’s digital ambitions. “We are honored to support Digital Morocco 2030, and to bring our AI expertise and solutions to even more people,” said Nidhakou. He emphasized the potential of Morocco’s government and start-ups to boost the national economy by adopting cutting-edge digital solutions.

AI71 will award $100,000 worth of computing power to four Morocco-based AI start-ups as part of the agreement. The winners—ToumAI, Heyy.ma, PostGoo, and Thinkable—were selected from a competition launched at GITEX Africa earlier this year. AI71 will continue to monitor the progress of these start-ups, offering ongoing support and exploring future collaboration opportunities.
The 44th edition of GITEX Global, renowned for showcasing future tech solutions, is currently taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 start-ups, and 1,200 investors from over 180 countries.
