Liquid Intelligent Technologies has formed a strategic partnership with Globalstar, an American connectivity innovator, to deliver advanced 5G connectivity solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf regions.
This partnership grants Liquid exclusive rights to sell and distribute Globalstar’s XCOM RAN private networks 5G access solution in these regions, which will enhance the 5G experience and support AI-driven applications.
The collaboration aims to revolutionize industries such as mining in Africa and high-end markets in the Middle East and Gulf.
Founder and Chairman of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Strive Masiyiwa, , expressed enthusiasm for the breakthrough in 5G private networks technology, highlighting its potential to provide large businesses, like mines, with their own private 5G networks.
These networks will not only improve connectivity but also enable NextGen services like AI, marking a significant advancement in the technology landscape.
The partnership aligns with Liquid’s ambition to become a leading technology company of African heritage, empowering businesses and communities with reliable, high-speed internet access.
However, the President and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies, Hardy Pemhiwa, noted that Globalstar’s unique 5G enterprise solution will allow Liquid to offer unparalleled connectivity, fostering growth and digital transformation in the regions it serves.

In addition to 5G solutions, the collaboration may expand to include Globalstar’s satellite, Band n53 spectrum, and IoT solutions on a non-exclusive basis, with Liquid providing comprehensive customer support, including technical and warranty services.
