Nicholas Gerber, CEO of The Marygold Companies, says Rooney “has been intimately involved with the development of the app from the beginning, and his behind-the-scenes knowledge puts him in the ideal position to lead the organisation and assume the role of president as our mobile banking app enters beta testing and we near the finish line”.

The Marygold & Co app, which has more than 10,000 people signed up to its waitlist, features “pay anyone” capabilities, customisable savings goals and diversified portfolio investing.

The newly appointed president Rooney has garnered more than 20 years’ worth of experience building and launching mutual funds, exchange traded funds and retirement plans.

Commenting on his appointment, Rooney says Marygold and Co’s new app “will truly enable clients to simplify and organise their financial lives in a secure manner, all on their phone”.
