MTN Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting digital education by donating 149 MiFi devices to teachers at the fourth Digital Educator Conference & Exhibition held in Lagos.

The initiative seeks to improve teachers’ access to reliable internet connectivity, allowing them to leverage digital learning resources, strengthen classroom teaching and take part in continuous professional development.

The MiFi devices were presented at the Ecobank Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, during a conference that attracted more than 700 educators, policymakers, school administrators, technology professionals and development partners from across Nigeria.

Participants explored strategies for addressing the country’s digital skills gap while equipping teachers with the knowledge, resources and technology required to deliver future-ready learning experiences.

The initiative comes as teacher preparedness and improved learning outcomes remain key priorities in ongoing discussions about education reform and digital transformation in Nigeria.

Idowu Adesokan, General Manager, Consumer Segment Management at MTN Nigeria, said the company remains committed to supporting educators with the resources needed to succeed in modern learning environments. He noted that reliable connectivity has become essential for teaching, professional development and access to global educational resources, adding that equipping teachers with digital tools ultimately contributes to better outcomes for learners.
