Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL), a technology company, has been awarded an ₹80.92 crore contract to install a Fibre Optics Transmission System (FOTS) for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Limited. The project, part of Phase-IV of the Delhi Metro Rail Project, involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the FOTS for three priority corridors.

HFCL has a timeline of 156 weeks from the notice to proceed (NTP) to complete the project. Additionally, the company will provide warranty support for a period of 104 weeks. The agreement with DMRC highlights HFCL’s expertise in delivering advanced telecommunication solutions for transportation infrastructure.

This is not the first major contract secured by HFCL in the metro rail sector. In March, the company secured a significant deal worth ₹282.61 crore from the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL). As part of the contract, HFCL will establish telecommunication systems for the Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-I, with a completion timeline of 90 weeks.
