Renault Trucks Middle East and Al Masaood, in collaboration with Tadweer, have introduced the first 100% electric waste truck in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a significant step towards the country’s net-zero goals and sustainability agendas. This milestone also represents the first fully electric heavy truck launched in the Middle East.

The inaugural Renault electric truck will be utilized by Tadweer, the sole waste management authority in Abu Dhabi, for household waste collection in the emirate. Manufactured by Renault Trucks under the dealership of Al Masaood, the truck’s deployment follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Tadweer and Al Masaood during the EcoWaste Exhibition and Conference.
