Moglix, an e-commerce company, has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in artificial intelligence (AI). The collaboration involves Moglix and the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship – Center of Excellence (AIIDE-CoE) at IIT Kanpur’s Noida campus building a platform for start-ups. The platform will provide startups with access to mentorship, infrastructure, research and development, networking, training and funding opportunities.

Moglix and IIT Kanpur will focus on developing new AI technologies in supply chain optimisation, product recommendation, image recognition, natural language processing and predictive maintenance. The partnership will also support the incubated start-ups regarding strategic partnership, investment, best practices and collaboration on new projects. The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of cutting-edge AI solutions for the manufacturing industry and unlock new growth opportunities for Moglix customers.
The collaboration is in line with the Uttar Pradesh government’s flagship startup policy 2020, which aims to establish and support at least one incubator in each district and build domain-specific centres of excellence in the state. The state aims to be among the top three states in startup ranking.
